The Project

Argos Panoptes is Nautum’s flagship project and the first Autonomous Underwater Vehicle being developed at the Technical University of Munich. Designed for deep-sea exploration, the vehicle aims to operate autonomously at depths of up to 3,000 meters for more than 30 days, carrying a modular sensor suite that can include cameras, Lidar, INS and other mission-specific instruments. Its purpose is to collect high-quality data from one of the least explored environments on Earth and support scientific research in seafloor mapping, habitat characterization, and environmental monitoring.
